The winners of the Luxe Pack in green award were announced on September 27 at the end of the first day of the 2021 edition of the Luxe Pack Monaco show.
In the “Eco-Conceived Packaging Solutions” category, the jury of experts [1] voted for the Rude collection of 100% recycled glass bottles developed by Spain’s ESTAL. With a distinctive craft aesthetic, allowing to expand and customise it in a more sustainable and cost-efficient way as the bottle necks diameter remains the same, the Rude collection is designed in a way that facilities the manufacturing process and in a way that makes it perfectly recognisable and different from the rest of the spirits on the market.
Furthermore, for the first time, visitors were invited this year to vote for the “People choice’s award” from the My Luxe Pack platform and their choice went to Odyssée, a 2-in-1 on-the-go and easily refillable jar in lightweight glass by Groupe Pochet.
Eventually, in the Corporate Social Responsibility approach category, the award went to ICMA as the first European company in the paper and cardboard industry to achieve BCorp status, following a certification process completed in May 2020.
“2021 will mark a turning point for Luxe Pack Monaco’s luxury packaging offer. For 12 years, the Luxe Pack in green awards has honoured the best exhibitor sustainable packaging innovations and initiatives. Today, the show will dedicate its many layers to the movement. Let this event be YOUR barometer for all eco-responsible trends,” said the organizers of the trade show in a statement.
